Ooh love a house with beams...love a barn and it's beams...actually quite fond of a drop of Jim Beam too!!!

So pottering about online looking at beams is clearly something that makes me happy...

So obviously I feel the need to share when I see some fab ideas...so here we go:

And this has the whole chalet, lake house, everything and the kitchen sink but I love it!!

David Oliver and his paint pots are my favourite thing....

Gosh got a lot of work on right now and a lot of paint colours to choose!

But really how hard is it....especially when you just pour over the colour charts from David Oliver and Paint and Paper Library....

And in the immortal words (or slightly changed....) of Doris Day

Paper Plates and Picnics....

An A-Z of almost educational proportions, obviously A is for Anchor and for the rock n rollers in the family, Z could only be Zeppelin!!

We're back....where've we been....who knows...but it's time to return .....

Ok - it's been a while and we've been lax but we have been working tres hard and now it's time to get back into the groove and telling all of you lovely people what we love!!

So today in a Pin It frenzy that we've been in due to looking for inspiration for shelving here are some of our favourites:

Wallpaper and I have a love hate relationship...

I like to think more love than hate due to the fact that I am obsessed with it but gosh it can make me shout from the rooftops if it screams DFS  back at me or I feel that Laurence LB has been let loose...(not that I have a problem with LLB but he does occasionally take it too large and too far....)

But nothing makes me happier than any wallpaper from Cole & Son but when

they go and produce gems like this, I cannot contain my squeals of delight!!

And imagine this lot watching you sitting on the downstairs throne as it were....

Loving My New Logo....do you?

Oh I am loving our new Adventures in Living logo...

Simon Ryan, our  fabulous design man never fails and no doubt the birds will be replaced at regular intervals with some equally funny and witty addition to the logo!

But to today our "what I call "can't live without" moment is.....

Nothing beats the old fashion light bulb....

Especially when they are masquerading as these funky vases!  

Spotted lined up in perfect symmetry in Merci in Paris over the weekend, I wanted to buy them all but with bad back, snow, trains, planes and automobiles to contend with, who thought glass vases in your hand luggage would be a good idea....ne pas moi!

So I am destined to order them from Conran's I'm afraid but that's no great hardship....

I Love Paris in January....

Oooh how exciting...it's that Trade Time of Year when I spend my life trapsing the hallways of London's Earl's Court, Birmingham, Decorex, and the fabulous Maison D'Objet in Paris! Life is actually heavenly at this point...although my feet will hurt, I will probably drink too much French wine, eat too much French bread but I will be happy!

Really looking forward to seeing new collections from some of our favourites...Andrew Martin, Ralph Lauren, Robert Allen to name a couple but there is so much to see, I will be a shadow of my former self and talk about sensory overload!! But we love it and we will blog at the end of each day of our trip so look out for that!!

And even door handles laid out like this will send us over the edge....

Oh I hope you all realise it's actually quite difficult to come up with something funny, witty and fabulous to talk about on a daily basis....

But thankfully we are in an industry where something grabs your imagination regularly or just makes you stop in your tracks and say "that's cool"....

Happy New Year....with a HotTug Tug Boat....

Gosh, it's that time of year again - time for a new series of Miranda!!  Hurrah!!! 

Proper old school laughs...that's what I love!!

And just to add to my frivolity of the day, I saw these today and caused a proper chortle in our house!!  Especially based on the fact that we are surrounded by water and getting one of these might just make living on the River Thames a little more fun right now!!!

Welcome the Hot Tug Tug Boat!!!  How much do I want one of these....

Get six to eight of your favourite pals and cruise down the river in style and at a 

comfortable 38 degrees Celsius - the water is heated by the on board wood stove!

Weird I know....but I bet Miranda would have fun in that!!!

These are a real cracker...

I know Christmas is past but I personally think you can pull a cracker any day of the year - just choose the gift inside according to the time of year - they're a great way of dressing the table and always put a smile on your face!

And with NYE approaching, I shall be dining at home and I know whatever anyone says, when they see these little Jo Malone goodies on the table, a nice hot bath is first on the list to ease the hangover!!
